Yoyo is a popular toy brought to the Western world by Pedro Flores who migrated to USA in 1915 and started his yo-yo business. Yoyo, meaning “come back” in native Tagalog dialect of Philippines, has been used by Philippine tribesmen as a hunting and fighting weapon for over 400-years, even before it got the status of a toy.
This weapon, that was a modified version of the popular toy avatar, consisted of a 4-pound stone with sharp edges tied to one end of a 20-feet long rope & was flung at prey while hunting or to attack enemies with.
